Hello. I'm on Windows 7. The PC and the connection are working fine. However, there's a problem that I can't resolve despite my research: I can no longer execute gpedit.msc, a message pops up saying "Unable to open the Group Policy object on this computer. You do not have the appropriate rights. unspecified error." I seek your help to resolve this issue, and thank you in advance. Signed, profof.

    gpedit
    Only Pro and Enterprise editions have this administration tool.

    1- Check if you have an Administrator account.
    Control Panel -► User Accounts
    The line =► Change your account type
    Select =►Administrator.

    ===►Reduce UAC level

    2- Go to ==► C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine
    Rename registry.pol file to registry.bak
    Restart the computer

    3- Try to open gpedit from ==►Computer \ C \ windows \ system32 \ grouppolicy

    4- Register a new copy of the gpedit.msc files in the Windows system registry.
    Click the "Start" button and click "Run."
    Or keyboard shortcut Windows + R
    Enter the following 5 commands and press the Enter key for each of them:

    regsvr32 appmgr.dll
    regsvr32 fde.dll
    regsvr32 fdeploy.dll
    regsvr32 GPEdit.dll
    regsvr32 Gptext.dll

    Close the black CMD window.
    Restart the PC.
    Launch gpedit.

    5- System restore to a previous date
