Hello,  After visiting several forums on the subject and finding no answer, I turn to the kind souls of CCM Indeed, I put about a hundred songs on my USB drive that I want to play in a specific order I had fun numbering them from 01 to I don't remember what the last number is, and when I plug my USB drive into both my car radio and another PC, the songs are played in any order I hope there will be charitable people to help me solve my problem Thanks in advance to everyone Best regards

Personally, I use Audacity. It's a free and open-source software, you just need to open the audio file with it and go to "Export," then "Save." Automatically, an information grid appears (Artist name, Album, etc.), you just need to fill in the "Track number" field to have your files in the order you want on your car radio ^^

Hello,  It's very likely that the car radio reads the songs in the order you've copied them onto the USB drive. Meanwhile, the computer sorts them in numerical and then alphabetical order.

Hello,  Try again on the computer by replacing 01, 02, etc. with 1, 2, 3  Only do this for the first three or four titles. If it doesn't work, replace with a, b, c. This should indicate the internal sorting mode of the application (in principle, alphabetical order)  It may also be that the reading is done based on the date the files were recorded. Check in the explorer. We will need to see if it can be changed.  In principle, the order should remain the same on the car radio. Check before modifying everything manually.  As for a method to change the date, if that determines the order, I believe there is something in Picasa or a few other photo cataloging programs, but I don't know if it works for mp3 files  On the other hand, renaming the title on an entire catalog by changing the header for each file seems more difficult to achieve.  Look into the software Lupas Rename, but I haven't tried it for this purpose  Best regards

Hello,  It's probably easier to read with a space, but I don't think it affects the reading order. In any case, try it with and without on 3 or 4 of the titles. They will rank first if the sorting is done in "alphabetical" order, with numbers ranking before letters (if I remember correctly).  ID3 tags are hidden or non-hidden areas that correspond to labels or keywords, which might be used for sorting. It all depends on whether the editor has introduced them or not, but it could be the name of the singer or the type of music, etc. I doubt that the car radio manages this item. But I don't listen to music.  There are tag managers, but software like Picasa or others also manage them (read/write, date, choosing one of these criteria for sorting).  Do the tests I suggest. You won't risk breaking anything and it's reversible.
