Issue with viewing my friends' Snaps in the story.

Good evening,

Since last night I've been experiencing a bug with the Snapchat story. When I tap to view a snap from a friend that they posted in their story, a "loading" sign appears on that friend's bubble, which prevents me from seeing their snap...
What can I do to stop the "loading" sign from appearing so that I can once again view my friends' snaps in the story?
PS: I'm connected to Wi-Fi.
