Hello,
Here is my problem: during a clumsy handling, a CD that was in the CD player of my Hi-Fi system has slipped behind it. That is to say, it is now inside the device itself. The player can open and close, but I would still like to find a way to remove it. The device seems relatively easy to disassemble, but there is a warning message stating that it should not be dismantled due to the risk of electric shock.
I have heard that even when unplugged, some components can remain charged and be capable of delivering current.
Can I disassemble it safely if I unplug it and wait a certain amount of time for the components to discharge, while using insulated tools with plastic handles and wearing a pair of gloves?
Thank you for your responses.
Best regards.

Hi DaM2, some components can stay charged for years...
Since the CD is quite large, it couldn't have fallen too far inside the device and will be easy to retrieve with electrically insulated pliers...
When disassembling from the outside, you're not at risk, unplug the connector and once the cover is removed, do not touch anything other than the CD
If you cannot retrieve it that way, call in a competent person in electricity.
