Hello,
I bought a 2001 Xsara Picasso, I don’t have a user manual and I want to connect a Pioneer car radio.
The problem is the connectors from the unit are not the same as those in the car, so I bought the correct harnesses that match the unit but I don’t know the wiring from the car to these harnesses.
If someone could help me, that would be really kind.

To complete the information above, I noted the codes that are on the wires of the car if needed and
I have a total of 2 thick wires, 1 yellow and green and 1 pink, 2 thin twisted wires, 1 cream and 1 yellow, and then I have 12 thin wires: 1 gray, 3 white, 2 red, 2 green, 2 yellow, and 2 cream. I don’t know what they correspond to. And on the harnesses I bought, there are the 8 speaker wires and the 5 power wires.
Can someone please help me because to me, it’s all Chinese.
Thank you in advance for the upcoming responses.

Hello,
I had to buy a multimeter to measure the voltages, but I couldn't manage to make the right connections because it doesn't hold the memory, and for the speakers, once I identified the ones without voltage, I connected one and tried all the others until I got a crackling sound. But I don't have any photos and no color logic! Good luck!

re-hello

to ensure the car radio retains the sound settings and radio stations, you need to connect the yellow wire of the car radio with the red wire of the same and for the antenna wire, the blue wire is not for the antenna; the wire is in the car, it’s a thick black wire with a connector that looks like a jack without the black rings and it connects behind the car radio. There is a blue wire with a white stripe that is meant to connect either to an electric antenna or one or more amplifiers.

Thank you for your response, but my problem was that the car wires were cut and the colors didn’t match anything.
So I made the connections with the help of a multimeter; however, I still need to find the antenna wire (which is supposed to be blue) and the lighting wire (which is supposed to be orange).
Thanks again.

Hello, I know this discussion is a bit outdated, but I have exactly the same colors as you coming out of the car. I'm trying to make clean connections because everything has been mixed up, but I absolutely don’t know which color goes where as I don’t know what these colors correspond to. A little help, please?
