Hello
For a few days now, the NUMERICABLE decoder has not been initializing the television channels. I took the decoder back to the store, and they told me it was the batteries. Well, that wasn't the problem.
I turn on my TV, it says "initializing" for a moment and then I get a black screen, but I can hear the channels!!! I don't understand.
I still manage to get the channels after about fifteen minutes by turning it off and on several times, but this is not normal...
Could you help me, is it the remote control, the decoder? Should I take everything back to the store again?
Thank you for your response.

Hello
The decoder was provided when I subscribed in 2010; there is no indication on it, however a label underneath mentions:
SAGEM COMMUNICATION
do not open
ICADD84 HD NC
2530 866440f -o2
Unfortunately, I have nothing else.....

It's an HD Box (without hard drive).
I don't understand what you're saying: Normally, initialization occurs 10 minutes after the decoder goes into standby. Or when the decoder is actually turned on: So starting from a decoder that is actually off, and not just normally in standby. Not after the TV is turned on: That has absolutely nothing to do with it.
However, the sound from the channels on a black screen could come from a bad connection of the Scart cable: What brand and model of TV do you have?

It's just a decoder connected to my television; I have a box for TV + internet + phone connected to my computer. All of this was installed by a Numéricable technician and was working very well... I called in an antenna technician, referred by Numéricable, who doesn't understand; all the connections are good, he checked everything...
