how to flash a hard drive

Question

Hello,

I recovered a hard drive from an Orange decoder; it is recognized by my PC but does not appear in the Windows Explorer.

I would like to know if it is possible to flash it in order to use it as an external hard drive.

Right-click on the workstation, then choose Manage, go to Disk Management, and if you see your disk, format it.  -- I excel like a spreadsheet.

I performed the indicated manipulations, but I cannot format the disk because it needs to be initialized first, and when I do that, the PC shows an error dialog with the following message:

Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Is it possible to bypass this initialization?
