Call does not connect

Hello and thank you: I regularly call my father who is in Paris from my landline (04.70...) using my SFR box. The number beginning with 01 is with Orange without a box.
Upon my return from vacation, I received this message: hello followed by “il servizio non è attivo etc.” in Italian. After repeating this message, I got a busy tone.
Neither SFR nor Orange can explain what is happening.
I should add that I had a neighbor who is also with SFR make the call, and it didn't go through either, with the same message. However, calls from a 01 SFR number go through in the Paris region.
Can you help me? I would be very grateful.
