Hello,
I received an email claiming that I was supposedly communicating with a 16-year-old minor and that there were photos of me.
I was scared and replied to this email right away, but afterward I came to the blog and when I see your testimonials, I think I got scammed. However, what worries me is knowing if by replying my email account has been hacked? And if so, what should I do? Thank you for your help.

But how many times will I have to repeat it to you
The scammer probably got your email address through your friend's FB

I don't understand; I send him insulting emails every day about the supposed morals of his mother and his royal backside, but he doesn't respond.
However, as soon as I reply (from the same address) "yes?", he quickly pulls out increasingly ridiculous responses. When I ask him for details, especially about my identity (he never gives me my name) or about justice, he gets all tangled up...
I would really love for him to respond so we could escalate the insults, but he's too cowardly :'(

Don't reply to this email because it's fraudulent like the tax office. Be careful, they want your email to hack your accounts. Watch out, there's the minors' brigade, they're scammers.
Hi
Anyway, the scammer you responded to is the same person as the pure young girl you were in a relationship with
He already knows your email address, but that doesn't mean he'll hack your account
A good piece of advice, cut off all ties with this guy and forget your sweetheart.
It’s getting tiresome to repeat the same old story every time
You’re going to have to filter all this out, right di diou

Hello
Recurring subject..
Fundamental question: did you expose yourself?
If no exhibition and only 'sweet' messages then no REAL blackmail possible..
Send the scammer back to the depths of his savanna..
Run an antimalware and antivirus check on your PC just in case the 'beauty' gave you a digital STD..
See you later
PS: give us the email address of the so-called 'Brigade' so we can laugh together..

I just received it too, I went to the police and they told me it’s a scam and especially not to open it.
I just received the same email and I am abroad, and I am about to go file a complaint with the Spanish Civil Guard!!!
Those are big sons of bitches!!!

Hello, I just received the same email today, it's very shocking. A Mrs. Yvette Bertrant does exist when I search for her name and she is part of the minors' protection unit. However, when I replied with my name, the sending address was bibydu69@hotmail. I am informing my local police station. I, who am anti-pedophile and monitor all the sites my children visit and am subscribed to the team MO. Shocked.
I received the same email, and since I don’t engage in that kind of thing, I’m completely confident; life goes on. There’s no need to get sick over this. If we had this kind of accusation against us, you can bet we wouldn’t receive an email but rather have law enforcement at the door. For real perverts, they’d have time to throw everything in the trash, etc., to delete the evidence, so there’s no need to worry.
Immediately change your password if you have responded, and if you have visited a related site: there are risks in clicking on links!
I received this same message, admittedly ridiculous and adorned with some spelling mistakes, among other things, but these people can scare naive individuals who do not understand information technology.
I also think it is imperative to report the problem to the authorities, but the "gouv.fr" portal is really not suitable for such transmissions.
The best thing is to keep a copy of the "original" message in a special folder on your computer, which means not the email as it appears in your inbox, but the page you get by clicking on the menu at the top of the email (three small dots, generally, but it could be three small bars). Important: it is on this text that you can find the address from where the message was really sent.
And personally, I'm going to call the Minors' Brigade in Paris on Monday to report the identity theft (2 cases, just from the message), which is very serious when it involves a "holder of authority," as well as the threats, defamation, etc.

Good morning,
I also received a similar email from the brigade. I think it's a scam; it's probably better not to respond!

Re:
This 'cheap' and generic address should reassure you about the complete FAKE nature of the message.. It's just a little beginner scammer trying his luck in this business..
Moreover, if there are no compromising images, the little crook has little means of pressure to blackmail you!
Phew.. Relieved?
See you!

Here is the response I just received from this person
"I acknowledge receipt of your message regarding the complaint filed against you.
For the next steps, I would like to inform you that I must, at the beginning of the afternoon on 04/09/2014, submit my report to the Supreme Court
which the public prosecutor will handle concerning your case, either by signing the certificate of cancellation or by signing the international arrest warrant for your prohibited act
in view of articles 706-35-1 and 706-47-3 of the code of criminal procedure.
If you opt for the cancellation of your case, I will instruct you on how to proceed with the payment of the fine; otherwise, legal proceedings will be initiated.
Please find attached the summons
I look forward to hearing from you again
Best regards
Office of Chief Inspector RENE BELLEVILLE"
Not quite reassured as I have a friend whose Facebook was hacked and altered photos of her circulated afterwards, so with these scammers we don't know what to do
Is there any way to check if this address is official or not, like knowing the IP address?

Hi, for me the so-called team leader is called Loïc Chandelier on 01/04/2016, but I have already received this message signed by René Belleville and three or four other names of team leaders. Don’t worry, it’s just attempted scams mostly coming from Burkina Faso. Forget everything and sleep peacefully; I received the first message of this kind 3 or 4 years ago.
Hello,
I also just received a similar message but from a certain Michel Quatacker, Chief Brigade Office
GENERAL DIRECTORATE
Once I got over the shock of thinking "what the hell is this message," I quickly realized that this message was not normal... Since when does the Protection Brigade send you an email to warn you of an infraction, especially one related to pedophilia, when they spend months undercover closing down entire networks!?!
As the people before me have said, do not give too much importance to this type of message, which is clearly not written by police officers.
But if you want to be sure, call the police directly, who I think will confirm the scam in question!
Just in case, here is the type of message I received:
WARNING FOLLOWING YOUR INFRACTION!!!

I also received the same message from the same email. Once I replied, the scammer, believing in my fear, quickly provided me with an address where I should send a money order via MoneyGram or Western Union, which is located in LOMÉ, the capital of TOGO. "But by revealing his real identity. This SCAMMER is named DESERT MATIEU LUCIEN.
Hello!
Government minors’ protection brigade @ interia. Is it true?
You don't need to have attended Normale Sup to find out in a nanosecond that it's just a SCAM!!
Fabrication 'made in scammer' (Crooks..). Attempt of blackmail, by the way why then?
Let them scream.. ABSOLUTE SILENCE.
If you need more targeted advice, you should briefly state the scenario of this story.
See you!

There is no need to worry about a mailbox hack; you just need to never open attachments from unknown persons that may contain an executable file. As for this email, I received it too, and honestly, do you really think that the gendarmerie is going to send you a pan-pan cutesy-style email warning you that they are coming to arrest you? For this kind of action, they show up at your place directly. However, it might be a good idea to check the person sending this kind of email because they might actually have a whole stash of photos themselves.
Same message received today with the following address: ***@***.
I was really scared because I always pay attention to these kinds of things and I've never exposed myself in my life.
Sophie
