Hello everyone,
I've been having issues for the past couple of days (around 2-3 days) where my large downloads (between 2 and 7 GB) won't start using software like BitComet or µTorrent (I'm downloading a game for Xbox 360; I owned the original and unfortunately, it has died)...
However, the internet is working perfectly as well as the unlimited phone service (I have an Inventel Livebox)
I don't know what to do and I've restarted my PC multiple times without success
I also learned that my neighbors are having the same problem, but they can all go online without any issues just like me.

If you know of a solution to this problem, thank you!
Configuration: Windows 2000 Firefox 2.0.0.4

Hello,

With uTorrent for example, when you open it, at the bottom of the software, you either have a little /!\ or a green V! What do you have?
If it’s a /!\ it means that the ports of your firewall on your Livebox are misconfigured!
Then you go to 192.168.1.1 (login and password: admin and admin), once inside you go to the configuration menu, advanced, then router.
On this page, you click Add, then in Service, you check personal service, you write utorrent_udp, then in protocol you choose UDP, in External Port you write 26012, in Internal Port you write 26012, in Server IP Address you put the IP address of your PC (you will find this IP address on the previous page: Your computer's IP address: 192.168.1.xxx) Then you click Submit.
Then you repeat with the same values but in TCP (name: utorrent_tcp).
Next, in uTorrent you go to Preferences. Then to the connection tab. There in Ports used for incoming connections, you put 26012. Then you uncheck random selection .... The other 2 are checked, and you click Apply.

This should solve your problem!

Hello my friend, I have a problem with downloading torrents in general. In fact, the download speed is very, very low (2 - 3 KB/s for a 512 kbit/s connection). Taking microtorrent as an example, how can I open the ports on my modem router (SMC BRA2)?
Actually, when I did a test with microtorrent, it told me that the modem ports are closed.
I need your help because apparently you have a good idea about "computer networks" lol
