JVC camcorder displays unit in safeguard mode

Question

Hello, I have a JVC GR-D290 camcorder and it constantly displays "unit in safeguard mode remove and reattach battery." I know I need to remove the battery for a few minutes and then put it back on for it to stop, but it happens again every time. Can someone help me? That would be nice.

actually I can't help you because I'm encountering the same problem as you and I can't solve it... on a JVC GR-DF 540 camcorder.

Have you resolved this issue and if so, could you please let me know the steps to follow?

Hello, I have the same problem (GR-DF540E). I was told to leave it plugged in and turned on for 24 hours. It didn't work for me, but you can always try. Otherwise, if you have other solutions, please let me know at +(maam7879@yahoo.fr).

Just remove the battery and put it back in again; if the problem persists, do the same until your camera recognizes it!
