Notifications ringing continuously on Galaxy S4

Hello,

I have activated the notification repeat feature on my S4 4G, so that as long as I haven't checked them, it keeps vibrating (if on vibrate) or ringing (if on ringtone).
Unfortunately, it has become annoying, and I would like to disable it, but I can't find my way back to where I activated it. Can you please help me?

Hello.
You can manage notifications at the app level or global notifications. Which app's notifications are bothering you? Your emails, your texts, others?....

It's all the notifications that bother me; before it rang just once, then the blue light indicated the unread notifications, but now it keeps ringing non-stop until I check them.

I think it's more about email notifications. In the Gmail app for Android, you have the option to enable either just the first notification or a notification for every new email.
Gmail in your profile/options (click the menu at the bottom left) /Notifications (if you uncheck the first option "Notification for labels," you will no longer receive notifications. Check on your side that the last option "Notify for each new message" is not checked. Otherwise, you will get a notification for every email... which could be every 2 minutes if your inbox is very prolific ^^

The problem is not with the notification of new messages; the issue is that every time I receive an SMS, a Viber message, WhatsApp message, or when the mobile indicates a connection or Wi-Fi issue, as long as I don't check and delete the notification, the ringtone keeps ringing and it's very annoying.

Good evening.
I wanted to know if you have resolved your problem and how?
Because it has been a week since my Mom's Samsung Galaxy S4 keeps ringing with notifications. And I haven't found an answer online.
I have already deleted various apps that bring notifications. But even for an SMS or a missed call, it doesn't stop.
Putting it on silent is not a very practical solution. So what to do?
