Hello,

I assume this question has already been asked, but despite my research, I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I would like to know if it is possible to connect 2 monitors to a single VGA output, and if so, will the graphics card recognize this connection as two distinct monitors (so that I can choose the "Extended Desktop" option).

My graphics card (sorry, it's the work PC and I have no idea what graphics card it is) can manage two monitors because I currently have 2 monitors connected. The problem is that they are not the same monitors, one is 17" and the other is 19", but mainly one is connected via VGA and the other via DVI-D as those are the only two outputs on my PC.
We have just received new 22" monitors, but the issue is that these monitors only have a single VGA input.

Considering that DVI-D, which transmits a digital signal, is incompatible with VGA, which can only transmit an analog signal, I am desperately looking for an alternative solution (as changing the PC is out of the question). Any suggestions are welcome, otherwise, I'll have to keep my old 19" monitor with its DVI input...

Thank you in advance,

Have a good day.

Okay, too bad. Thanks anyway.

Is there another solution to solve my problem?? I read online that in some cases you can connect a VGA screen to a USB port via a signal conversion box. Unfortunately for me, I don't know enough about it to know if it's possible on my side or not... Can someone guide me?? Any help/information is welcome.

Thanks in advance.
