Hello, I'm 71 years old, it's never too late to get started, is it?
Here's my problem, I have windows that keep opening all the time.
( about every 10 minutes )
It started when a friend installed new programs for me.
I don't know what to do, I've already looked up articles on your forum regarding this.
But it seems to me that there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather a solution for each case.
If you can have the patience to help me, that would be very kind.
Thanks in advance, Oh yes, I did take a little training so I wouldn't end up with a computer without knowing anything about it, daring but not foolish.

To start, what type of windows are we talking about? Advertisements that pop up in the middle of the screen? In the bottom right corner of the screen?
Regarding the programs installed by your friend: are they external programs unrelated to the internet, a web browser (Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, ...), or something else?
If they are ads, then your web browser is not blocking "pop-ups": in that case, you need to go into the settings menu (or options, or preferences) and search for the pop-up management option, and disallow them.
If this option is already checked, then you'll need to clarify your problem a bit by answering the questions asked at the beginning of my response ^^.

Thank you all for your responses, I have carried out the operations of Malekal_morte-
and everything seems to be back to normal.
Alfeust, thank you as well, it was about online games and the windows were advertisements, I will look into blocking pop-ups in my two browsers.

Install Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware: https://www.malekal.com/tutoriel-malwarebyte-anti-malware/
Do regular scans with it, it is effective.
To avoid getting caught again.
