Uninstall Softonic

Good evening,

I want to get rid of the Softonic software. I have a Softonic window permanently on my desktop. It displays a download status bar and the message "we are improving your Softonic experience, please wait." Because of this window, I cannot uninstall the software through the control panel.

Could you please help me remove this software?

    You must have installed potentially unwanted software

    To avoid this kind of problem:

    - Do not download any programs offered in advertisements or on suspicious websites. Note that some well-known sites like O1net, Softronic, Tuto4PC, etc. sometimes modify the programs offered for download to add adware ==> Always prefer to download directly from the publisher's website.

    - During the installation of a free program, read carefully and uncheck all additional programs that are offered, especially toolbars.

    * Download this easy-to-use tool

    * Run it (On Vista/Seven/8 right-click on it, and choose run as administrator) if you are on XP double-click on it

    * Click on scan
    * Post the search report C:\Adwcleaner[R]

    * Note that the search report is also saved under C:\Adwcleaner[R1]
