Webcam Usage History

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to view the usage history of the webcam on a laptop with an integrated camera?
I have a Samsung with Cyberlink Youcam.

I have been searching a lot for the past two days but found nothing on this subject...

Thank you in advance for your help :)

You can always check if there are logs in the software installation folder of the webcam or in the hidden "AppData" directory.
But I'm not sure if that exists, do you just want to know when it was used?

Is there a registry that would record the days and times of webcam activation?

Thank you for the quick response! I am impressed!

Yes, we should check in a possible log where the webcam software is installed. But I don't know if that exists for this type of built-in webcam. We need to see.
      To check, go here:

      Start > Computer > C:\ > Program Files > Cyberlink Youcam
Then look in the subfolders or in the main folder to see if there is a text file lying around that could be a usage log.

I haven't found anything about this on Google, so if you don't find anything, it probably doesn't exist.

So I did some research on the log files in the Cyberlink folder, but apparently there’s nothing... Just one file but nothing conclusive...

You’re probably right, there may be nothing that allows me to access this information.

In any case, thank you for your help on this topic!

It might be possible to check the Windows application logs (right-click on "Computer" then "Manage" then "Event Viewer" and "Application Logs".
Once in the application, deliberately use your webcam to see if this creates any information in these logs. Look in "Applications" and if nothing, check "System".
But again, it is possible that nothing appears...
