Hello, I'm aware that I have a fairly low speed, around 300 Kb/s.
After calling Free, they told me they couldn't do better than that, that it was due to my location (and yet I'm in Île-de-France...)

So I settled for that while waiting for fiber optics to arrive in a few years :(

But I was wondering, if there was a loss of speed since my box is plugged into a power strip, I'd like to test it but the other wall socket is far away and I'd need an extension cord. However, with an extension cord, is there also a loss of speed?

Please :)

    Hi
This has nothing to do with your electrical connection, if that's what you're referring to.
It's the length of the telephone cable between your home and the telephone exchange that matters.
You can be in Île-de-France; if you're 4 km away from your exchange, you'll have a poor connection.

That's what I wanted to know, thanks :) Now I understand my connection better. The exchange is in the next town --'

    Hello,

The ADSL speed is not related to the power supply.

If you have noticed connection issues on a power strip, that concerns the PLC, between the box and the computers.

    Best regards
