Hello,
I am part of a carnival group and I would like to know what equipment I could connect to a laptop to maximize power while ensuring impeccable sound quality. I specify that the float measures 6m / 3m and the parade takes place outdoors with other floats that have powerful sound.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 28.0

Hi,
First of all, on a float, to have a powerful sound you need one or more large onboard batteries!
For example, a 12v/100Ah battery will power an amplifier of:
600Wrms for 1 hour continuously
1200Wrms for 30 minutes continuously
2400Wrms for 15 minutes continuously
Considering that the float travels 50km at 3km/h (walking speed), for 600Wrms you'll need a 12v/200Ah battery, for 1200Wrms a 12v/400Ah battery, and for 2400Wrms a 12v/800Ah battery!
That's not all, you also need to add a voltage converter 12V>230V with power matching that of the amplifier(s) supply.
