Displaying images in LibreOffice Writer (in .odt)

Hello,

I use LibreOffice on my PC, specifically Writer. I am currently encountering a problem when I insert photos. Indeed, only a gray rectangle with green squares in the corners appears, accompanied by the label "image 1" next to an anchor in the top left corner.

I can only see the photos when I go to print preview. Moreover, when I print, all the photos or images are present.

So what is the problem? Why do the photos not appear in the document while I am writing? I didn't have this issue at the beginning. I am using Windows XP.

    Hello,
    Open:
    Tools > Options > Libre Office Writer > View.
    In the window that opens, the option "Images and objects" must be checked.
    Then OK.
