Hello,
I just took out my laser mouse (it's been a while since it was tucked away, over a year) and it's all sticky. It's quite unpleasant to touch:
At first, I thought my kids had touched it with their sticky little hands, but after thinking about it, I believe it's not just that... After cleaning it with a bit of water and a cloth, it's still sticky...
I did some research and some people used 70 or 90% isopropyl alcohol, while others used wipes... I used Lysol-style wipes, M.Net, no results. As for the alcohol, it works, but I have to scrub a lot, and I'm worried I'm actually removing the rubber coating: O !!! There are large black deposits on my cloth, as if it's bleeding onto it...
My mouse is new; I only used it 2 or 3 times before my move and I've just plugged my computer back in... It's a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 (June 2007)
Do you have any ideas on how to clean it? Could I really be degrading the rubber???
Thanks for your tips!!
