Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my Samsung R530 laptop that won't turn on. Last night it was working perfectly fine, and since this morning, nothing. It doesn't make any "beeping" sounds, and I don't hear any fan noise. The only thing that is lit up is an orange light (I think it's for the battery) http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_460468IMG201402101346291.

I tried to turn it on with/without the charger, while charging/not charging, nothing works.. I've seen a lot of posts on forums talking about "bios" but I'm having trouble understanding.

Can anyone help me?

Good news, we dismantled my computer and put everything back together, and now it works great! I absolutely have no idea why, but it works, that's what matters!

      Hi,
I have the same problem. What exactly did you take apart? Thank you.

    Hi,

Unplug your PC and remove the battery, then hold the power button for about 1 minute.

Then reconnect the cable and the battery and restart the computer.

Uh no, I don’t think so, I’ve had it for several years. But I don’t understand, nothing special happened since last night, and it was working perfectly fine..

    Is your computer still insured?

Have you tried starting the computer without the battery (directly plugged into the power supply)?

It didn't do anything... except that the battery light turned green, then back to orange when I pressed the "on" button.
