how to connect Felson amplified TV stand

I just bought a Felson MTV03Sound+ amplified TV stand and I have a Panasonic TV
I can't get the sound to play through the stand, the seller had me buy an optical cable
but it doesn't work

Same problem, no sound and no image from the menu. I have a Thomson TV with several connections, I've tried them all and nothing works. Maybe it's an identification issue depending on the HDMI sources 1, 2, 3, S-video, etc.

Problem solved, the Felson MTV03sound+ unit connects with an optical cable for sound and HDMI for video, and my TV doesn’t have an optical connection, so I used an adapter on the SCART with a white and red audio output.
