Smart TV incompatibility between countries (France Switzerland)

Hello,

I am about to buy a 3D smart TV UE40F7080 in Switzerland but I live in France.

According to the seller:

- some Swiss applications (like Zattoo) will not work on the French internet network
- some French applications (like Orange) will not work on a TV purchased in Switzerland.
- some French PCMCIA cards (like FranceSat) will not work on a TV purchased in Switzerland.

1) Do you know if there is a list of incompatible apps and equipment between French and Swiss smart TVs?

2) Are there many French apps that are incompatible with a TV purchased in Switzerland?

3) Are there many French PCMCIA cards that are incompatible with a TV purchased in Switzerland?

4) Is it possible to install the necessary drivers or to update the firmware to avoid these compatibility issues?

Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Chris

TNT: The DVB-T standard is a European standard...
Satellite: All multi-standard DVB-T-C-S televisions are CI+...

at least 2 major things in common...

Thank you Phil,
The only difference with TNT is that the channels don't organize automatically; it has to be done manually... (Not a big deal)
However, in terms of satellite, the standards are identical but for example, the pcmcia module from FranceSat that allows you to insert the authentication smart card (TNT via satellite) is not compatible with a TV purchased in Switzerland.
What I'm trying to find out is if there are other surprises of this kind.
Because the price is still 20% lower in Switzerland, which is significant.
But if half of the pcmcia applications and peripherals don't work, it's much less interesting.

If "CI+" in satellite TV, the Cam Fransat CI+ 1.2 or 1.3 module perfectly decrypts the 25 free national channels on Eutelsat 5WA, however what it cannot do is the automatic LCN management of the CSA, so you will have to reclassify them manually in the desired order.. also applicable in DTT.

A Fransat PCMCIA module perfectly decrypts Swiss Viaccess, if Sat Access card..

DTT (DVB-T) via satellite in DVB-S2, does not exist! No one fills up with diesel for a gasoline engine...!!

Hello Gil,
Thank you for your response,
You seem to be quite knowledgeable on the subject, but I'm not sure what to think anymore, as Samsung France's customer service gave me this example of incompatibility... They told me that this module is not supported on the German, Austrian, and Swiss versions... of smart TVs... Maybe it's a driver issue, I don't know. I sent the same questions I posted on the forum to the Swiss and French technical support...
I am waiting for a reply from them, but I especially wanted to know if any other cross-border customers made a purchase recently and encountered significant issues with application or PCMCIA module incompatibility...
If anyone has any information on the subject, don't hesitate to share...
Regards,
Chris

You took a look on Google:

"HD televisions Trituner DVB-T-C-S2 compatible CI+, CI+1.2, 1.3, 1.4.."

and

"PCMCIA CAM module, CI CI+1.2 1.3 1.4 Access control decryption "
