Hello,

I just bought the KMM 257, but I can't seem to permanently remove the demo mode. Every time I start the car, I have to press it 3 times to turn it off.
Can you help me?
Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 31.0.1650.57

    Hello

When you turn the device on,

the display shows: "CANCEL DEMO"\"PRESS"\"VOLUME KNOB"

1 Press the volume button. [YES] is selected for the initial setting.

2 Press the volume button again. "DEMO OFF" appears.

Good evening, I have a Kenwood KDC-W3044. I can't seem to save the frequency I want; it keeps getting erased and I have other frequencies that I don't want.

    Hi Froulik

What you write represents you very well

"Those who know nothing know just as much as those who don't know more than they do. (Pierre Dac)"

Because what you said is exactly what I told him, so you don't know more than him or me.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your response.
This is exactly the procedure I have to follow every time I start the car.
I would like to not have to do it at all...

Have you tried the menu? It seems there’s an option to disable it. I have a Kenwood KDC-W4537U car radio, and I managed to disable it. When I turn on my car radio, it directly switches to my USB stick and to the last track played when I turn it off.

    Thank you for your answers.
On another forum, I've been suggested to check the wiring... I'll try.
But for now, what I'm sure of is that when I turn on the car radio:

    1. I'm always in demo mode (even if I press the volume button. [YES] is selected for the initial setting, and if I press the volume button again and it says "DEMO OFF")

    2. On tuner, it switches to a station that is not part of my presets (and which is also a frequency that is not allocated in the Paris region, so I have to endure a horrible crackling noise in my ears!)

    3. On the USB stick, it always restarts on the first track of the stick...

Will the wiring issue also resolve these problems?
Or do you perhaps have other suggestions? I'll take them even if they're redundant :)

In any case, thank you again!

If they are made properly according to the assembly instructions, there shouldn't be this kind of problem, but do check anyway.

I have exactly the same problem as you; if there are any solutions, I'm all ears too...

      Hi

check the connections; if the yellow wire of the car radio is not connected, it cannot retain the settings, and you will have to redo them every time.

you need to connect the yellow wire to the terminal of the red wire.
