Hello,
When I play games like Trine 2 or Far Cry 3, my computer overheats and shuts down suddenly.

These games are resource-intensive, you must have a laptop, am I wrong?
There's not really a solution to your problem, rather small adjustments that could help the computer cool down a bit:
- In the games themselves, lower the graphics settings (resolution, etc.);
- As for the PC itself, open it up and clean it (dust makes the PC heat up a lot);
- Finally, some software allows you to kill non-essential tasks to play under optimal conditions such as GameBooster (https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/18951-razer-cortex-game-booster/ -

Thank you very much, I installed this software and I could play a little longer.
But since it was overheating anyway, I took it apart and cleaned the fan.
There was at least 1 cm of dust on the filter!!!
Since then, I've been playing FC3 for 2.5 hours straight and no overheating :)
