When I type on my keyboard, the cursor moves wherever it wants.

Hello,
I can't type a whole sentence. My cursor jumps and moves forward or backward, up or down. Hint: when I type, I rest my wrists on the computer, and if I lift them, it seems to happen less... could you help me? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

The cause may be material:
Disable the touchpad and do not place the mouse on a shiny surface.

Thank you for your response. Where can I disable the touchpad???? Furthermore, I am sure it has nothing to do with the mouse as it is unused on the side; it happens when I type with the keyboard.

When you type on the keyboard, your thumbs may accidentally slide over the touchpad. This moves the pointer and it's annoying.
Normally, the touchpad is disabled and re-enabled with the keyboard without needing to search elsewhere.
You use the Fn key (at the bottom of the keyboard near the space bar) and a key at the top of the keyboard.
So you need to locate the correct key and its symbol representing the touchpad.
The best approach is to refer to the computer's manual, as the key's position depends on the manufacturer.

Here’s how to disable the touchpad via the control panel (normally, you don't do it this way because it's too long):
