GTA V doesn't work on my PS3!

Hello everyone,
I found myself on this site for a really important question!
About 3 months ago, I bought the game GTA V and played the Story/Online mode for a long time.
Then one day my game froze, and strange noises came from my PlayStation 3 inside the disk slot!
I restarted my PlayStation 3, and suddenly I heard my game as if it was going to come out.
But after that noise, I checked in the "game" menu of my PlayStation 3 and there was no GTA V. I removed the disk and put it back in, and it did the same thing for the past 2 weeks!

I had to look at some topics about this problem, but people didn't offer solutions to fix it.
All my other games work perfectly except for GTA V.
Please find me a solution because I am really upset; it's been about 2 weeks since I was able to play GTA V.

But apparently some people say it's the lens that is worn out because of RockStarGames * The producers pushed this game so that your PS3 would be damaged.
I don't really know if that's true because I saw that the game really puts a lot of strain on the fans; the PS3 could overheat and burn your lens :/

So that's my problem; I hope you can help me...
I will give you a little surprise gift "paypal" if this problem is resolved.
Contact me as soon as possible, thank you.

Same issue for a while now, and a lot of people around me are experiencing it too...
indeed, the lens suffers a lot with this game... last resort is to open your PlayStation and clean the lens while watching videos on the internet to know how to do it correctly, otherwise it's over, no way to play GTA 5 on PS3 I believe... I've had a PS3 since its release, never had any issues until GTA 5... fan running, then it shut down after several hours of gameplay on GTA 5... second PlayStation got from a friend, impossible to install GTA all the way...
a second-hand PlayStation let me down after 40 days because of GTA 5... this game is cursed seriously...

I've gone through 2 fat PS3s and one slim in less than a year with GTA V, it's really driving me crazy.

Thank you for the quick response :-)
So I did the Recovery mode and step 3:

3 Restore the file system: This mode can fix corrupted data.

It told me that the storage file was damaged and that it would repair it

I'm going to try to install GTA 5 again but not with much hope, I'm starting to lose faith :-(

Yes, the message you received is normal.

    3. HELP

Nothing to do... :-( the installation restarts, I have only 3902MB left to install and it climbs up to 1430 after a weird noise, a kind of latch, the installation freezes, but the loading circle keeps spinning next to it, the images of the opening credits keep rolling but the sound cuts out... I have to quit the game with the PS button on my controller... nothing to do, I think... I would just like to find the installation file so I can put it on a USB stick, for example, to then install it and insert my disc to play... I really think I'm just unlucky.

but you still waited a bit even though the sound cuts out

it's super long to install and sometimes it stops only to start again full blast
I think it took 15 minutes when I installed it

as long as the thing is running, you mustn't stop it at all

Yes, I have waited well, unfortunately for me, I believe...
I was able to play it on an old console that has since failed me; the installation is long, I know, but on this console, it progresses well but suddenly freezes... I will try to launch it one last time before throwing it out the window, I think... I will wait a good 15 minutes...
      Thank you, Vale ;-)

    Playing GTA5 on a PS3 is no problem :-)

If the CD is no longer recognized
    the optical drive is faulty

to get it repaired, expect around 80 euros

    Hello iKaMzSix

I know how to fix this problem but I can’t get it to work and I’m still trying to repair it

    It's very simple

So you see your disc, you have to act as if you were putting it into the drive or inserting the game, but hold it so that it seems like there’s a disc inside, it will start spinning and then you will gently turn it in your hand from left to right, but it must always be partially in the PlayStation like at the beginning, there might not be any noise but it will be fine. I’ll give you the steps below

    STEPS:

1-Take your disc out of your PS3
2-Put your disc halfway into the drive of your PS3
3-You will hear a noise, just let it be (don't let the disc go fully into the drive)
4-Now, gently turn the disc in your hand from right to left for 10 to 20 seconds while keeping half of the disc in the Play
5-Then let your PlayStation rest for 10 minutes
6-Then put your GTA 5 back in

Step 4 will help clean the lens; it's easier than opening your console

Well, I hope I've helped you. This is not a fake, don’t worry, but Rockstar Games did this so that we would rebuy it on PS4; they are not stupid, but anyway here it is

    Best regards, GouldatoR
