My ps3 controller only works with the usb cable

Hello, I would really need your help with my PS3 controller because today I wanted to charge it, but the four lights turn on and then immediately turn off. I am forced to press the PS button, and the light 1 comes on but does not blink, so I can't charge it; I can only play with the cable. Please help me. Moreover, on the charging bars (as soon as we press the PS button for a long time to see the charge level), there’s no longer the little battery icon; there’s just a line. So I would really need your help, I would like to play again =/ My controller is a DualShock 3, if that helps. Thank you for your assistance.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

    lol thanks but no because as soon as I unplug the cable it doesn't turn on anymore and doesn't work anymore

      it means that the battery is not charging and it has no more battery.
      either your controller is dead (USB is not working) or your battery...
