Erreur de chargement GRUB 17

Solved

Hello everyone,

I have a computer that was dual-booting W7/Debian but which I haven't used in 2 years, or very rarely. (I have a laptop that I use more.) This morning, I thought I would remove Debian because it was not useful on this PC and it was old. Additionally, I would free up space for Windows.

Here’s how I proceeded:
I went to the disk manager (right-click on Computer, Manage) and simply deleted the Debian partition and allocated it to C: by clicking "Extend".

When rebooting the computer, I received the following message:
GRUB loading stage 1.5
GRUB loading please wait...
Error 17

The problem is that I can no longer boot into W7, even when I play around with the boot priority in the BIOS menu, it always wants to launch GRUB. Moreover, it’s an old BIOS so you can't boot from it using "Boot override". Furthermore, when the error appears, the keyboard is unresponsive, so there's no way to issue commands like fixmbr or bootfix, which have saved me from another mess before..

Please help me! Thanks!

Configuration: Windows 8 / Chrome 31.0.1650.63

    Hi

You need to boot the PC directly with the Windows 7 installation DVD (or the repair console)... go to the command prompt and type

    bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /fixboot

And your problem will be solved.

For your information, you can find the console here (with the procedure for creating a bootable USB drive)

Thank you! I knew that the solution was these commands, but I didn't see how to access the console... I will make my bootable USB with the W7 repair and I'll keep you updated if there's any issue.

I created the key, but my computer doesn't want to boot from it; it doesn't even appear in the BIOS...

That's great, thank you! I had deleted my Mandriva partition from Windows and encountered error 17. My trusty old Windows 7 CD allowed me to enter the two commands, and I found Windows 10 again.

    Hello,
check your BIOS to ensure USB boot is enabled.
    see you later

Everything related to USB in my BIOS is "enabled" and yet nothing works. Moreover, I tried to boot into Debian using a live USB to repair the Grub and this time it recognized it. That was this morning (however, the boot didn't work).
Thanks anyway, I'm trying with a burned CD..

When I choose the CD drive input, it still shows me error 17.

      Re,

The key creation procedure has been proven for a long time... You must have made a mistake somewhere...

Plug your key into a working PC and tell us what it contains.

I also tried without the "root" file, that is to say by placing the downloaded files directly in the root of the key, the same.
