means that the boot from the hard drive failed:
1 - either a BIOS problem: the hard drive configuration has "jumped"
2 - or your hard drive is damaged
3 - or the Windows boot is infected

for:

1: go back into the BIOS and check HDD; the first one on the list should indicate information. If yes, your disk is recognized, otherwise it indicates "0" or "none" (or something similar); check if you have an auto-config option and validate it. If your disk is okay, it should work.

2: your disk is damaged. It may or may not appear in the BIOS, but it should make an unusual noise and the error message should not appear instantly upon boot. More information about your disk is needed.

3: your disk is okay, but it's Windows that won't start. Try booting again with F8 (start pressing it several times immediately after turning on). If still not okay, boot with the Windows installation CD-ROM. It should detect Windows on the disk and offer a repair option.
