Home Cinema- TV- Canal+ Decoder Connection Issue

Solved

Hello,

I would like to detail my problem here because I've been going around in circles for several weeks.

I recently bought a home theater system (Sony) and I'm trying to connect it to my television (also Sony). I have a Canal+ decoder and two HDMI cables.

I have tried different connections but every time a problem arises (no sound, no video...)

My latest attempt was going quite well except that I had no sound.
I connected my television (in HDMI in) to my decoder (in HDMI out) and I connected my decoder (single HDMI output) to my home theater (in HDMI1 in).

I don’t know if you need more details to help me.

Thank you in advance!

    It seems to me that that's what I did, Benji!

    So for the references:
    The television: Sony, model Bravia, KDL-37P3000
    The home cinema: Sony, BDV N9100W

    I hope these are the details you wanted!

    Hello CoralieB,

    Here are the connections I recommend:

    For the image;

    1) HC* SONY <-- HDMI CABLE --> HDMI 1 TV.

    2) CANAL+ DECODER <-- HDMI CABLE --> HDMI 2 TV.

    This allows you to leave the 2 HDMI IN inputs of the home cinema for any other devices.

    For the sound;

    1) TV RCA OUT <-- RCA CABLE (Red and White) --> AUDIO IN RCA HC*.

    * HOME-CINEMA

    And here it all is in image form:

    Best regards ;-)

        Hello, may I intervene in this conversation, please stargate43? I also have a Canalsat decoder but not the cube model; this one is very small, black, and has 2 outputs: a SCART and AV, connected to a Sony Bravia home cinema and a Samsung LED screen, but I always have trouble connecting the image to the home cinema and finally to the screen. Could I please have some help?

      Not necessary since everything is connected by HDMI.

      PS: The SCART connector is gradually becoming obsolete in favor of HDMI, but in case of HDMI failure, it's better to have SCART cables on hand.

      Best regards ;-)

    Hello,

    generally with a home cinema with HDMI port.
    All your devices must connect to your home cinema (IN) and a single cable (OUT) goes to your television.

    Good evening,

    Could you please provide me with the brand and the EXACT MODEL of EACH DEVICE? This is so I can better inform you about the connections to be made; the references are generally indicated on the back of the devices.

    PS: no indications like "Samsung 102cm", that's not a reference, but more like this example: "SAMSUNG UE40C5100 - 102 cm"

    Best regards and thank you for your understanding.

    No problem, with pleasure ;-)

    I suppose we can mark the topic as resolved; if that's the case, confirm it to me and I'll take care of it.

    Regards, good luck, and have a nice evening ;-)
