Hello,
I am asking for a little help regarding an issue with my Edifier S330D speakers; the problem is with the wired remote control, which seems to have stopped working. Of course, this happens to me a week after the warranty expired... I've been looking for an hour for a product that matches this remote control, which is just a volume adjustment potentiometer with two integrated headphone jacks. The connection port has 9 pins, so it seems to be a D-sub type. But I can't seem to find a similar object. I would like to know how to replace it, or how to specify my search to find something similar.
Thank you.

Hi,
If it's just the "remote control" that's not working anymore, you might as well unplug it and test the Edifier kit with the volume from the PC's headphone jack!
If that doesn't work... it might be something else.

It is impossible to make the speaker-subwoofer system work without the remote control; the signal goes through it, and that is the whole problem.
To clarify, I am sure that the problem comes from the remote control; the sound does not work either if I plug in headphones to it. The purpose of the post is really to know if there are identical models to this one that can be purchased separately?
Many brands do not sell retail, making it impossible to obtain the part in question.
The simplest and most economical solution is to disassemble the controller using a screwdriver and replace the defective 3-pin potentiometer for a cost of €0-10 depending on the model.
The least economical option is to buy the same device secondhand, averaging €80.
The 9 pins correspond to:
Jack input = 3 wires, positive right + negative + positive left.
Jack output = 3 wires, positive right + negative + positive left.
The potentiometer = 3 wires, positive right + negative + positive left.
