Pokémon X and Y: how to delete a save file? Solved/Closed

Hello, how can you delete a part in Pokémon X or Y?
The 2-page guide doesn't say, and I'm not happy with the starter I chose....
You should be able to do it from the title screen, but with which buttons? :x

If you want to erase part c high plus x b at the same time, of course.

I think you need to press: the up arrow the B button the select button and all of that at the same time, of course, and for a few seconds.
