- glg29: when I go to the device manager, a little warning panel appears on the Coprocessor and on the mass storage controller, I click. Then, it says that no driver is installed, I click on update driver but the computer finds nothing, so I would like to download one to install it manually, but I can't find any ;)

Indeed, I have already visited the Acer website, filled in the suggested fields to find the correct driver but I can't find the corresponding one...

Actually, I want to install these drivers because I feel they impact the proper functioning of my webcam.

I found the driver for the Coprocessor! It was the Nvidia Chipset! Well, I'm happy, but now I'm missing the one for the mass storage controller!

Via your Administrator session, go to Start
In the Search bar, type devmgmt.msc
At the top left, under Programs, click on the executable devmgmt
The Device Manager appears.
Click on the little + next to Imaging Devices to see what it shows (something like Laptop Integrated Webcam, for example)
Right-click on it
Click on Properties
Provide what is found under the 3 tabs:
1. General tab: ----------
2. Driver tab: ----------
3. Details tab > Device Description button > scroll down to Hardware Ids: -------------------------------------------------------

Your camera issue.

There might be a lead here, but the opinion of a real specialist like glg29 would be appreciated.

The Logitech Orbicam seems to have no compatible 64 bit drivers for Seven, but that’s not really the case. Go to the Acer website and download the 80 MB Logitech drivers package. Unzip it somewhere and note the location of the Drivers\64 bit folder. Even if Acer doesn’t mention it, those are 64 bit Vista drivers, also compatible with Seven. Go to the device manager, and choose to update the driver pointing to that folder. The webcam is installed with the driver only and no additional software. One can try to install the bloated Logitech/Acer software as well, or use basic/freeware webcam software. The Orbicam works well with Skype, FYI.
