Hello little wolves,
I'm getting into audio for family purposes and I would like to know how to connect my PC to my sound system and what cables to use.
Thank you for your advice.

Hello
I currently have two PCs connected to a mixing console.
Nothing could be simpler!
All you need is a "mini-jack male stereo > double RCA" cable or a "mini jack male > large jack male" cable, either stereo or mono.
You connect them from the "out audio" output of your sound card (one of the three small round outputs, the green one I believe) to the "In" on your mixing console, on one channel.
Then it's up to you to connect the mixing table to an amplifier.
If you only have a hi-fi system: OUT AUDIO output from the PC to the IN AUXILIARY input of the hi-fi system. You will then use the AUXILIARY mode of the hi-fi system, which will serve as the amplifier.
The cables used in these cases are often mini-jack (PC output) > double RCA (red and black) into the hi-fi system.
No matter the configuration of your sound system, the most important thing is to locate the OUT audio output of your PC, which is one of the three small round connectors: blue, green, or red (the green one, I believe) and connect it to the IN of any other audio equipment that can amplify sound and transmit it (amplifier + speaker = hi-fi system, for example).
For the cables, you will always need a mini jack on one side, and on the other side, you need to identify the input of the equipment you are using to amplify and buy accordingly...
I hope I have answered your question!

my gear is two laser platters, a mixing table, an amplifier, and two speakers bought for cheap, all with my PC.
if you know a site for reasonably priced light shows, let me know.
