Allocating more RAM to the GPU?

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to allocate more RAM to my GPU, as my GPU only has 128 MB dedicated, while quite a few games I want to play require at least 512 MB.

I am on a laptop, so I cannot change my graphics card (unfortunately).

Thank you.

    Hello

You can allocate more RAM to your video games but cannot add RAM to your graphics card.

In the search bar, type cmd

Right-click on cmd and run as administrator

    Then type the command line

bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500 if you have 3 gigabytes of RAM

bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3000 if you have 4 gigabytes, etc...

This is a Battlefield 3 trick found on the Battlefield forums or jeuxvideo.com
to prevent crashing due to lack of RAM.

Hello, thank you very much for your response.

Is it possible for a game to lag just because of this lack of RAM?

      Have a good evening.

Yes, in Battlefield 3 it caused a bug.
But the graphics card and the CPU can also be the cause of the slowdown; it depends on the games and the physics of the anti-aliasing.
Now gaming graphics cards have 2 gigabytes of RAM.
