(I know everyone has already answered, but..!) No, quite simply, the Wii U is a new gen console (and yes, for once they aren't the last to release their console) so no, new gen games are not compatible with old gen. Yes, the Wii U and the Wii are backward compatible, but for the previous generation (Wii for the Wii U and GameCube for the Wii) and yes, it's not and can't be new gen compatible (or however you want to call it) BUT! there is indeed a Call of Duty, but the first one (I think, in any case, there is Modern Warfare)
