Unreadable burned audio CD

Hello,

So, here I am to present my problem because I think this is the right place to get an answer.

As the subject name indicates, my audio CDs (in CDA format) are unreadable.

I have already used 3 different programs: Windows Media Player, Nero and InfraRecorder.

In each of these programs I do exactly the same steps:

Create audio CD > drag and drop tracks > Burn > Eject the CD.

Note that my source tracks are MP3s. Here's what I have tried:

1 - Burned a CD successfully via Nero
2 - Drive died after this first burn = replacement
3 - With new drive 1 burn successful via WMP
4 - 2 new burns unreadable on any player
5 - 2 new burns considered blank discs by my PC and unreadable on the hi-fi chain
6 - I stop wasting my blank CDs (they’re expensive) and I’m asking for the humble advice of the How-To-Geek/Comment ça marche folks.

I’m using 700 MB 80-minute CD-Rs from Auchan.

So I would be very grateful if someone could enlighten me on the steps to follow to finally be able to burn a simple AUDIO CD! grrrr.

    It works with CDBurnerXP! without touching anything else!

    Hi,

    No need to bother converting anything or doing complicated tricks.

    I’ve been using CDBurnerXP (free) for years and I’ve never had any problems.

    You choose Audio CD, you drop the tracks you want to burn into the compilation, and regardless of the format the software handles it all, automatically so the CD will play in car stereos etc.

    I just did it again 10 minutes ago.

    Hello,

    Have you tried converting your MP3s to another format before burning?

    You can use FORMAT FACTORY.

    For burning, I use Cdburnerxp and I burn in audio.

    Hello, It is also preferable to use brands of discs from reputable manufacturers such as Verbatim, for example, which are admittedly a bit more expensive, and to avoid no-name CD/DVDs from large distribution chains among others. But since it works with CDBurner, everything's good ;) Best regards --
