Problem with a LG DVD recorder!

Solved
Crazy Boy -
 patetyan -
I just bought an LG DR165 DVD recorder, and I recorded a match on a DVD-R and watched it the next day using the same recorder!
However, I wanted to put the match on my PC and overwrite the DVD to record another match tomorrow: BUT MY DVD PLAYER DID NOT READ THE DVD, AND MY FRIEND'S PLAYER DID NOT READ IT EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do I fix this?
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello
With an LG RH 199 burner: for 8 days, it has been impossible to recognize the blank disk inserted for formatting and then burning, regardless of the format rR; RW +; -
In the disk settings menu, the options (format, name, protect...) are greyed out and inaccessible
However, it is still capable of reading commercial recorded DVDs.
Disappointing because I would like to transfer elements from the hard drive to the disk.
    What should I do
    Thank you

    Hello everyone!!

I have an LG DR275 DVD recorder, and I would like to be able to program the TNT channels on the recorder, as it currently only receives the terrestrial channels... If you have the solution, please let me know.

    Hello,
On LG 199 I can no longer record content to the hard drive:
the formatting of the disk begins but keeps looping and I get the message "cannot read DVD RW +"
Same with all types of disks
In copy, the titles are grayed out and inaccessible.
    I cleaned the lens
    Everything is still stuck.
On the LG website, there is no list of repairers/by region.
Has anyone experienced the same issues???
    Thank you.

I have the same problem - the recorder, which has been working normally for over two years, refuses to record (RW disc) - besides, the disc menu is displayed in gray (impossible to format etc...)
and even the display of recorded tracks on the disc is shown differently now (no options in the left margin: reformat etc...)

      A reboot doesn't change anything.
Thank you for responding as well as to boregard if you have a solution?

I bought a DVD combo, which includes a DVD player and a VCR, but I can't play burned DVDs or those that are not original. What should I do?

I agree, but for me there is an additional problem because when I want to record the output channel from the TNT decoder, it displays UNRECORDABLE SIGNAL

I admit it's enough to lose your mind.......

Thank you for giving me the solution.

      Hello,
      Have you resolved your issue?
I am getting the same error message with Canal+ digital (and 3 different decoders).
      Thank you

I have 3 hard drive recorders with DVD burning capabilities. My Hitachi makes DVDs with VOB or data format, but the LG gives us a messed up file. Unacceptable...

      Hello,
I discovered an option in the "Disk Management" menu called "Finalize"!
After finalization, the disk will be finalized (impossible to save more unless the DVD is RW and the disk is overwritten) and it will work wonderfully on the PC!
      I hope I helped you!

It's normal, all TNT channels must be received by AV1 or AV2 on the recorder. Then you can either record the channel you are watching or have a TNT with a dual tuner.

So that means I can program the TNT channels on my player... but how do I do that? Thank you for your help.

No, you cannot program the TNT channels. During your recording, the channel is actually AV1 (or AV2, depending on your connections).
And you record what you are watching, unless you have a double tuner on your TNT, in which case you must first set up a recording with your TNT, and then record with the recorder (still on AV1).
