Question

Unfreez does not want to save the GIFs I made, it says *not a GIF file, or incorrect version number* Can you please help me!

This software is very easy to use.

You take your images (of the same size), save them in .gif format, then you go to explore and drag your images into the Unfreez box.

You choose the frame delay, which is the time between each picture.
And you click on make animated gif and that's it.

I don't know if I was clear, if not feel free to ask again.

Well, it's simple!! When you save your images, sometimes you need to rename them and so (I always use photofiltre) under where you enter the name of the image, there is a "box" that says "BMP(*.bmp)" and if you scroll down, you'll see several names and you need to click on "GIF(*.gif)".

To make a GIF, you go to Photofiltre and you save your image again by entering its name and everything, and at the bottom, there is something else written and there you put GIF (gif*)

Now for me, it's the size of the images that bothers me.

it's very simple, you go to PhotoImpact, you open a photo and you do the editing you want, then you right-click on the photo and you hit save, and there you name the file, you enter what you want, and at the bottom for the type, it’s usually in jpeg format, and you change it to .gif and then there you go, you save it and you drag the photos into Unfreeze, and that’s it, it’s really simple; you must really be dumb not to know this, seriously, just kidding, big hugs, and I hope I’ve helped you well, kisses ++++++++

To get Unfreez in French, you need to go to Google and type "unfreez en français". Once you have downloaded it, you also need to download the PhotoFiltre software (I do it with FotoPhiltre, so if it's another software I can't help you). Then, when you open PhotoFiltre, at the top left it says "File", just below that there is a logo (a piece of paper = New) and next to the piece of paper, there is another logo called "open". You click on it and choose the images you want to use, right-click on the image -> image size, and a window opens, you must set the height to 399, not more. You do the same for all your images (don't forget to save your image as "GIF (*.gif)"). Then you open Unfreez and drag the images you created in PhotoFiltre into it, set how many seconds you want the images to display, and then click on "Create Animated Gif" and save your gif in a folder (for example, "my images"). If you didn't understand, let me know.

So, honestly, thank you Caroline, thanks to you I can turn my images into GIFs hehe I'm happy, so for those who don't know, when you save the image below, there's BMP I think but you have to scroll down and you'll see GIF, so you click there, there you go    kisses =) :p

First, download the software in French: https://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/creation_graphique/fiches/34462.html  Recap:  Let's take three photos for example, we want to make a gif out of them.  1) Make them all the same size! I use Photofiltre, a great software, easy to download, and in French. Then, with Photofiltre, right-click on your image, and select: IMAGE SIZE (and not canvas size). If your goal is to upload it to Skyrock, do not exceed 600! Repeat the operation for all your photos, so they are the same size!  2) They are all the same size, well done ^^. Now, go to "my documents"; you see your photos all the same size (I know I’m repeating myself =p). Double-click on one of them, it gives you a larger preview and click on the floppy disk. Take the last dropdown menu, which is called "Type", and choose the GIF format. Now, save it. Repeat the operation for all your photos.  3) Once you have done that, take your Unfreez software, and select one photo and [without releasing it], drag it to the designated area (the large blank, empty area). Repeat the operation for all your photos.  4) Now choose the seconds spacing between your photos with the small dropdown [very small], on the right.  5) Click on "Create Animated Gif"!  GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AND I PROMISE YOU IT’S REALLY VERY SIMPLE =) ! It seems long because I've explained in detail, but you can create your gif in about 10 minutes.

It's simple, I will explain it to you step by step

1 * Download Photofiltre & Unfreez
2 * Open Photofiltre
3 * Open your photo (File -- > Open --> Choose your photo)
4 * Set your photo's width to 299 (Right-click on the photo -- > image size)
5 * Save your photo as "gif" (Right-click on the photo -- > save as --> choose your file and once you have chosen your file --> at the bottom there are two small columns horizontally, there is type & file name --> there is type & a small downward arrow like this < but downwards Then choose "GIF (*.gif)" --> THEN SAVE your photo, do the same for the other
6 * Then open Unfreez
7 * Drag your photos into the small white box
8 * In frame delay, put the number you want
9 * Click Make Animated Gif
10 * Save your gif & there you go!

Thank you for your instructions! I finally managed to create my GIF! Anyway, for the others, I know what you're thinking and it can be really frustrating when you can't get it to work, I know =D but I think either you didn't select the images of the same size or you didn't set the seconds. Or maybe your computer has a problem because I also got this message: "Not a GIF file, or incorrect version number" and now I haven't changed anything in my method and it works! Otherwise, another possibility ^^ maybe you downloaded a bad version of Unfreez! So I hope I helped you with my novel xD well. Big kisses to everyone!

Heyyy! Actually, you shouldn't drag the images from Photofiltre to Unfreez, but use "My Documents". Anyway, that's how I do it! So you open "My Documents" and go to where you've saved all your images in "GIF" format. Then you click on it WHILE KEEPING THE MOUSE BUTTON DOWN! So you keep clicking on it and then move towards the Unfreez program, which should already be open. Voilaa, it's a bit complicated, I don't know if you understood everything, but well... Note: To use UnFreez, you need to have PhotoFiltre or another image editing software  -First, open the photos you want for your GIF in PhotoFiltre -Resize them to the same size -Then save them in GIF format (still in PhotoFiltre)  ->To save in GIF format, select GIF in the "Type" bar (below "File Name")  -Next, open UnFreez and drag in the freshly modified photos -When you are finished, click on "Make Animated Gif"  Additional Information: * Uncheck the "Loop animation" box if you do not want your GIF to loop * "Frame Delay": The number of seconds between photos * "Remove Frame": Delete a photo * "Clear All": Clear everything  I hope everything is clear =)  Bye *

Now you can go to UnFreez Actually, to go to UnFreez, your image must be in GIF!
