Solved

Hello, my TomTom XL is no longer picking up satellites; it remains forever on "waiting for a valid GPS signal". Is it repairable?? What should I do?? Thank you.

    Good evening,
To reset, use the small hole at the bottom of your GPS, or hold the power button for 20 seconds (without releasing it) and on the second startup you release the button, and it starts normally, I think the problem is solved = software reset
    Best regards

There is a Ephem folder that needs to be emptied and it will reload by itself.

Sure, I just took it back and it works. How?? I didn't understand anything, but it works. Once again, a thousand thanks. J.B.

    Hello,

Open TomTom Home and perform the updates, including the quickfix that downloads the satellite positions.

I couldn't get it to work again. I think the problem is more serious. I left the GPS attached to the windshield for three weeks in full
sunlight. So I bought a VIA 135 to replace it.
A thousand thanks for your advice, J. Beaupain.
