Hello,
I have had an EPSON Stylus SX515W printer for some time now. It was working very well and now... error message: "Printer error. Turn off the printer, then turn it back on with the power button. Refer to the documentation." I have done what was necessary but the message persists. I referred to the documentation and it says to call support. They gave a phone number that leads to the authorized repair shop (over 250km away from my home!!!!) for a repair cost (excluding transportation of course!!!) of at least 55 euros if the problem isn't too serious...
Can someone help me solve my problem????
Thanks in advance
Gaby

Hello,
It is possible that the printer detects a paper jam, or that the support on which the print head rests when idle has come out of its slot.
Sometimes, it's the foam on the tray (where the paper passes) that is "stuck." This happens right after a "paper jam," and all you need to do is reposition it.
You can put the printer in cartridge change mode and unplug it from the power outlet. Move the print head to the left and check on the right if everything is normal - especially for the head support. Move it back and forth from left to right to ensure the head moves normally.
Plug the printer back in and see what happens.
Your turn.
Best regards.
