Hello everyone and thank you for reading me.
I bought a wireless mini mouse (Elypse brand) for my laptop (Vaio FR315). Delivered without an installation CD, the manual states that this device is recognized without issue by Windows 95-98-ME-2000-XP.
Indeed, when I plug it into my device manager, an additional item appears in “Human Interface Devices (HID)” and an item in “Mice and other pointing devices.”
So far so good, except that my touchpad remains active and my mouse does not work. Sometimes, in the details of the HID device (control panel), it shows code 10 “cannot start.”
I think there’s a conflict between the touchpad and the mouse, but I cannot disable the touchpad.
I also tried modifying an option in the BIOS, but it’s a very limited BIOS that does not specify this kind of option for USB ports.
In short, I’m a bit lost. I need your help to finally make this ridiculous little thing move my cursor on the screen.
Thank you.

Hello, I also had a hard time with this Elypse HID mouse:
To get it to work without any issues, actually:
1. Plug in the receiver (USB) and press the button
2. Turn on the transmitter, the mouse => Hallelujah, it works!!!
Hopefully this can help future owners.
Good night!

I had a problem for a few weeks where I had to click multiple times to download a link on the web. I tried updating the driver, which was said to be well installed... so, in anger, I yanked the USB port at the back of my PC and then reconnected it, and everything is fine now. What an idea to pull on my tower to clean up... we even bought a new mouse/keyboard set that was not compatible with the XP, which we had to return. Thanks for fixing my problem for free.
