Hello,
I would like to connect my Samsung TV to my PC via the HDMI port on the motherboard (an Asus P8Z77-V LX) but it's not working... Is it a driver issue? I checked on the ma-config.com website and it seems that everything is up to date... The cable? It's a Monster and it works perfectly with the Blu Ray player.
Does anyone have a suggestion? :)

    So to begin:

do you have a PCI-express graphics card connected to your motherboard? If so, it takes priority over the integrated display, and therefore nothing can come out of your HDMI port

another option (but I have doubts precisely because it's via HDMI) a resolution setting that is not compatible with the screen.

Oh yes, my graphics card is in PCI-express... I have a mini HDMI port on it, but I don’t have the adapter at home, too bad!
Do you think there’s still a way for it to work?

if you want to use the port integrated into the motherboard, you need to remove your PCI-e card to switch to the motherboard's chipset

likely performance loss if you're gaming

Okay, it's not a big deal, I'll use my usual screen, thanks anyway for the quick responses.

Hi, I’m continuing the topic because I’m in the same situation knowing that I don’t have a GPU in the pci-e slot.
The connection via VGA works but nothing is detected via HDMI :/
      Same motherboard...
      So if someone knows why...
