Hello,
I know absolutely nothing about computers. I got a new PC 8 days ago, and the person who set it up retrieved my old hard drive and integrated it into the Icy Box (IB 231). He connected it to the computer and everything was fine...
When I turned on my computer the next time, it was impossible to make it work. I connect it, I hear that there is a reaction inside (it spins, it makes noise), but I can't access anything. The light is off.
The problem does not come from the USB ports, I checked all of them, they all work, except with the Icy Box.
I am using Windows 8.
Can someone help me?
Configuration: Windows 8 / Internet Explorer 10.0

Hi,
you disassemble the Icy box and check if the disk is properly connected inside
be very careful, it's super fragile!
also think about testing the Icy box by putting another hard drive in it to see if the issue might come from the disk
finally, connect the hard drive directly to the PC (via SATA)
after all these steps, you should know where the problem comes from
