Hello,

A friend of mine gave me her iPhone. She was with Free and her iPhone is unlocked. I'm with Orange. So I took her phone, put my SIM card inside, but alas! It says:

SIM card locked

I don't understand since my SIM card works fine, and when she puts her SIM card in the iPhone, there's no problem. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks in advance

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 26.0.1410.64

If it says that your SIM card is locked, it's not just because you didn't enter your PIN code?

Restart your iPhone (by long-pressing the screen lock button at the "top right" to turn it off and then the same to turn it back on).

Then at startup, it should ask you for your PIN code. This is the same one you have always used on your old mobile phone.

Once you've entered your PIN code, check if the message SIM card locked is still there.

If so, or if you are not asked for your PIN code when your phone starts, reply to me here ;)
