SIM card keeps disconnecting

Hello,
For the past 2 weeks, I've been having major issues with my SIM cards. About 4 times a day, my phone asks me for the PIN codes for my 2 SIM cards. I enter them to restart, and then I receive a notification saying "SIM cards modified, press to configure." When I click, I end up in the SIM card configuration settings and nothing has changed... I've already tried swapping the SIM card slots, which worked better for 2 days, and then it started again.
For your information, I have an Archos Diamond S (dual SIM) running Android 5.1.

The only solution I found to reduce the number of disconnections from the card was to not use the Wi-Fi and mobile data network at the same time. It worked for a while, and at times it started up again even more intensely.

Hello,

Try to wipe the two SIM cards as well as the contacts on the smartphone side; oxidation (natural) can cause this kind of issue.

I tried to rub the SIM cards with an eraser, but I couldn't do the same with the contacts since it's a SIM drawer and I don't have access to it... Unfortunately, it had no effect; the SIM cards are still acting up... So could it be the contacts causing the issue?

Good evening, I don't know if your problem has been resolved. But just in case, I can share my tip with you. I have an Archos Diamond 2 Plus, and like you, my SIM card would disconnect up to 5 times a day. I removed the card from its tray and stuck 2 layers of electrical tape on the back of it, which I cut flush with the edges. And for the past 2 weeks, not a single disconnection... I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I think the issue comes from the card tray or the connectors of our Archos... Have a nice evening.

It is possible, humidity can seep everywhere.

I am trying to bring this topic back up because several months later, the problem is still not resolved...
Since then, I sent my phone in for repair, and it came back a few days later with a message stating that no anomalies had been detected...
My phone is no longer under warranty, and Archos does not cover phones that are not under warranty, so no repairs can be done by Archos...
I don't know what to do anymore, so thank you to those who will try to find solutions!

There is nothing to be done.
We are facing a hardware failure that is not covered by customer service, which, as you experienced, worked for 2 days before failing again.

I have exactly the same problem with an Archos Diamond 2 Plus. Sent for the 3rd time for repair. They were supposed to exchange it for me and surprise:
You have sent us your device for the following problem: Reading SIM card error
After a factory reset, your device is now functional.
After diagnosing and testing your product, we confirm that the issue you had reported is no longer present.
It will therefore be returned to you as is.

I'm fed up... no solution, and Archos is not listening at all...

Yes, that's exactly what happened when I sent it to customer service... I still don't know what to do, but I feel like I'm going to have to change my phone...

Hi, I don't have an Archos but a Samsung S5 and I'm having the same problem....
Which carrier do you have?
Because I was with Bouygues before and had no problems..... since I've been with Free, I'm experiencing the same issue as you.

Hi, I just read your comments and I have the same issue. I sent my phone for repair and Archos found nothing, and this is my second SIM card with Free, still the same problem, no solution, it's annoying. Did you manage to fix the issue...?
