Hello,
It's been 48 hours since my computer has been running to defragment my C drive (the main one). I'm on my 5th pass, how many passes are there in Windows 7? If I stop now, will I lose the benefit of the 5 passes I've done?
Thanks if someone can inform me.

Hello.
It shouldn't take 48 hours to defragment a disk.
There's a problem somewhere.
You can stop the operation.
Restart the PC.
And do this: https://protuts.net/verifier-integrite-disque-dur-chkdsk/
Warning, this operation can be very long (1 hour, 2 hours, or even more).
Do not interrupt the process, as it may lead to serious issues upon rebooting.
Additionally, it's wise to back up the contents of the checked partition.
And especially an image of it if it supports the "System".
