Hello everyone!

So here's my problem, I have the game Bioshock Infinite on PC, everything's fine so far, but apparently this game only accepts Xbox 360 controllers...

My controller is a Free controller (provided with the Freebox Revolution) and I tried to make it behave like an Xbox 360 controller with the software "x360ce" and the problem is that my controller is not recognized, the icon that should be green is red, and the entire screen is greyed out so I can't modify anything ;(

So if someone could help me that would be really nice because I want to play Bioshock!!!! :S

aaaaah! I did it! It was hard....

First, I took the file
x360ce_lib32_r766.zip from http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/list
(which contains x360ce.gdb with a small database of controllers)
and extracted it into the folder where the ".exe" of the game is, and launched x360ce.exe.

Since it wasn't working, I edited x360ce.ini and set:
[Options]
Version=1 (to avoid a message at the start)
Log=1 (to create log files at each launch to understand what is happening. Set it back to 0 when it works)

But still the same problem: red icon....
THE SECRET IS HERE:
After numerous tests, I randomly opened the "presets:" dropdown (which is at the bottom in the controller X tab) and clicked "load" ("sample" as the first option) and to my surprise, the controller appeared, and the icon was green!!!
PHEW!! my game finally recognized the controller at launch!!

But it wasn't over.... even after manually adjusting everything, saving my preset, I couldn't get the directional buttons to work in the game....
I eventually saw that in x360ce.ini there was a line
D-pad POV=
which should have been set to 1; that is:
D-pad POV=1

And poof, everything worked perfectly.
I am now using my free - freebox revolution controller with Naruto Shippuden 3 Full Burst, everything's great!

Hey guys,

I had a problem, my controller was recognized by the game, but I couldn't change the buttons, the lock was on start, and A/B were swapped with X/Y. My controller is a Speedlink, but recognized by the PC directly as a 360 pad, so MotioninJoy didn't work for remapping the buttons.

While browsing around, I found this:

XBOX360 Controller Emulator.
Unzip it IN THE GAME FOLDER, that is:
program files/namco bandai games/darksouls for the retail versions
program files/steam/steamapps/common/darksouls for the steam versions (to be confirmed for this one).

Then, run XBox360ce.exe, let it create its .ini files in the game folder, and remap the buttons if necessary using the profile it will find online for your controller.

Personally, I just had to swap the axes of the right stick, so it was fine, not a big deal.

FINALLY I CAN LOCK WITHOUT MOVING MY THUMB FROM THE RIGHT STICK.

It worked for me, I hope it will fix the many issues I heard about while going through almost all the forums.
