XBOX controller compatible with XBOX 360?

I have a quick question that's on my mind: is the wired controller from the original XBOX compatible with the XBOX 360? In other words, can you plug this controller into the XBOX 360???

    not compatible.
    The 360 is wireless or through a USB port. You will have a hard time fitting the large port of the Xbox1 controller.
    Plus, the buttons are different.
